Chris Simms (former bronco backup QB) arrested in New York

This is too sad to read. Chris Simms arrested for driving while using marijuana. Jeepers Creepers man. What next? Of course, he is not the Bronco's problem anymore, but I was thinking after the team sent him packing that he would buckle down and really work on his talent - ya know?

The story says he was stopped in Manhattan for whatever, then the officers noticed he was slurring his speech and had red eyes. Sounds like a lot of folks around here in Denver (marajuana capital of America). Too bad, so sad. I had hoped for better from him.

Simms is the son of CBS Sports analyst Phil Simms, who led the New York Giants to a 39-20 victory over the Broncos in Super Bowl XXI. Wonder how Phil is taking the news? Not too well probably, and understandably so. Chris had some bad moments on the field, and didn't seem to be finding the right timing.

Still, he does have talent. I hope he gets through this and it changes his life for the better. He is awaiting arraignment in the court in the morning. Here's the story on it
