What is the real story behind Mike Nolan leaving?

“I can’t say anything other than Josh and I mutually agreed to part ways,” Nolan said.

"I have great respect for Mike and wish him success in the future," McDaniels said in a team statement.

So is this a cover up or what? Did McDaniels fire Mike Nolan? What is really going on here? Or, as they have said, it may just be a parting of the ways. Did Nolan disagree with the headmaster too much?

Now we know he is going to the Dolphins as their defensive coordinator. According to the Denver Post Article Here

Mike Nolan knew he was a hot commodity and IN DEMAND around the league. He was right and this move is the Bronco's loss, even if Josh hires Pees.

So rumors in the stories say his replacement will be Dean Pees. Pees tells the press he just left after his contract expired and that he wanted to pursue other things.

Will he be coming to Denver? Hey, you can speculate about all this but I knew after the dismal finish the Broncos would see some folks leaving. Timing is everything, and Mike Shanahan's new job was the perfect way to vacuum up some of the guys he used to work with. But now Nolan, and then Pees?

My favorite is this one - "McDouche is only going to last one more year. Bowlen has too much class to fire him after one year like Al Davis would but he's not going to get that team turned around next year and that won't cut it in Denver. He'll go 6-10, 8-8 tops. That schedule has a few gimmes but even Denver has proven they don't win the gimme games. When you get beat by the Gayders at home, that's disgraceful. Essentially the Broncos went 6-0 and then proceeded to lose to two college teams (Chefs and Gayders) and 6 others. WTF. I am a die hard Bronco fan but this is is disgusting. This guy has ruined a promising team in just one year. It's amazing how bad he is. It's bad enough to be a Charger fan since they always choke but at least they get to the post season. So the saga continues and continues. Josh McDaniels was riding a wild wave until week 7, then the world went cold, and the guys on the team just wouldn't behave, and then he went in his office and hid out for awhile and waited for everyone to run out the door. What an aweful year this has turned out to be.
