What is not being said about all this Bronco stuff lately?

We all know the team finished 8 and 8, and when Shanahan was tossed out, most of us felt that a record of 8 and 8 at the end of the season would actually be a good thing. What happened to the optimism?

Face it - it is all about what is NOT BEING SAID

Brandon Marshall cleans out his locker at the end of the season, and even takes his name tag thing off the locker. He leaves behind no trace that he was ever there, and then goes out and makes a nice squeaky clean praise comment about the Broncos - Remember? I'm a 100% commitment .... etc"

What was he leaving out? What did he NOT say?

Mike Nolan quietly leaves the offices and does not negotiate a new contract, and he says nice things about the Broncos, then immediately gets a new job. I wonder if what was not said in that case was something like "I will get to use the formations I want to use finally ..." Hey about Mike Nolan:

How long did it take for him to get another job? Was it one day?

Josh McDaniels, when asked about Nolan's departure says something nice and respectful about Mike, and that is all he said. What did he leave out?

Think about this for a minute. Mike Nolan coached a defense that went from 29th in the league in the previous season to 7th in this recent season. Is that bad? Was the fact that Elvis Dumervil lead the league in sacks after being reassigned by Nolan a mere coincidence?

Nolan coached the DEFENSE, not the OFFENSE. Let's see now, who was it that was coaching the OFFENSE? Oh yeah, that was Josh McDaniels wasn't it?

Defense went UP, offense went DOWN. So why did Mike Nolan have to leave? Might have something to do with what was not said...

Offense went from being ranked at 2nd in the league in Shanahan's final season, to being ranked at 15th in Josh's first year. This is not up for debate, it just is the facts.

Now only some sports writers are saying some of the things that should be said, such as Woody Paige "Did the wrong coach leave the building at Dove Valley on Monday"?

Maybe there is something in the water over there .......
