Where do the Broncos Stand Now?

Well in spite of their bumbling performance yesterday, the Broncos are still in the mix for a wild card spot in the playoffs. Amazing isn't it? Wonders will never cease. I have completely recanted my criticism of McDaniels for trading Cutler, but some things are still in contention, like why they never seem to use Hillis?

San Diego has totally stayed with it and are the division leaders hands down, and they deserve it for the way they turned it around after a miserable start this season, while the Broncos are kind of the opposite of that.

The Broncos (8-6) are still in the AFC wild-card hunt but they were expecting a win over Oakland (5-9), who won at Invesco Field for the second straight season thanks to Russell. Now, they'll likely have to win at Philadelphia and beat Kansas City at home to end their three-year playoff drought.

BRONCOS LOSE AGAINBroncos running back Knowshon Moreno stands at midfield after the Broncos lost to the Raiders 20-19 on Sunday at Invesco Field at Mile High.

"We have no margin for error," defensive end
Vonnie Holliday said. "The sense of urgency was supposed to be today. And unfortunately it wasn't."

Can the Broncos win against the Eagles? They are currently 10 and 4, so the smart money is on the Eagles. I want them to win of course to keep the season hopes alive, but I am not going to lay out any money on it.

Sunday, the Broncos got into the red zone four times and they scored all four times, but only one of those was a touchdown. Matt Prater kicked three field goals.

“When you do that and you just let teams continue to hang around, I don’t care who they are, they’re going to beat you,” Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton said.

GAME DELAY: With 6:53 to play in the fourth quarter, and the Broncos at the Raiders’ 2-yard line, the game was delayed for several minutes. A fan from the south stands was shining a laser light on the players, prompting the delay.

“It was green light that was hitting players in the face, so they were taking every precaution to make sure we were safe out there,” McDaniels said.

Was that fan ejected? I hope so, but he should have to spend a few days in jail for what he accomplished for the Raiders!
