Bronos play against Charlie Frye Today

So here comes the Raiders again, but this time they have benched their 32 million dollar QB JaMarcus Russell in favor of number 3 backup Charlie Frye.

On December 17th Josh McDaniels said of Frye, “It’s not going to change our preparation,” Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels said. “We’ll get familiar with (Frye) this week. He’s played in games, obviously, in this league for a few years. This won’t be his first opportunity (to play). We’ll get to know him over the next four days. We don’t expect their offense to change that dramatically. We’ll prepare like normal.”

“We have to be prepared for whoever they throw out there,” said Broncos linebacker Andra Davis, a former teammate of Frye’s in Cleveland. “They’re going to do what they’re going to do. They’ve got three good running backs, a lot of explosive players, so whoever is in charge (of the offense), we have to be ready for them.”

Will the Broncos play Payton Hillis? That is the 64 Thousand Dollar Question that many fans were asking on popular talk radio last week.
Hillis, who led the team with 343 yards on 68 carries last season, has 54 yards on 12 attempts this season.

This will be a strange game and I am predicting that Hillis may get some playing time today. I hope so because Moreno and Buchhalter are both on the limp.
