Make Those Miracles Happen Again Broncos

All Denver Fans will remember this Thanksgiving game forever. After 4 straight losses, the team showed up all ready to play. Both sides of the ball, and special teams did their jobs, even though they did have a few problems (end zone itus), they still got the W and are ready to play KC. All of Denver will be watching the game next Sunday in Arrowhead, where Denver has traditionally had a tough time of it, even with more powerful teams in past years. KC is always tough in Arrowhead. Count on it!

The pure truth is that a 3 and 8 team playing at home will pull out all the stops and cautions to win. They have no hope of being in the playoffs this year, so they have one big job: Spoilers! I guarantee the game will be a rough one, and I hope the Broncos can execute well and play a good game getting the score on every possession if possible, and not get too many injuries. KC has the potential to do a lot of damage to the Broncos if they can get away with it. Denver should win, but we have said that before haven't we?

The next Sunday is where the big deal is. Broncos go to Indy to play the Colts on their home turf, so getting the win in KC is vital to their survivability. Broncos are at the top of the run for the playoff wildcard birth, and to stay there at the least they have to win in KC, and maybe they can sustain one more loss in Indy, but even that is not a sure thing. The other teams in the contention have to lose one too, which may or may not happen. If you were betting on this, how would you bet on it?

So, the heat is on the Broncos and it is a hotter stove than it had to be. Nevertheless, it is a stove they turned up themselves, and it is what it is, not what we wish it was. Make any sense? Remember back in 77 when they just kept winning crucial games with all that crazy long ball stuff? Trick plays? The song of that year was "Make Those Miracles Happen".

This team is different than the one in 77, but I sure wish we had the old "Orange Crush" defense back. They showed up for each and every game, and they laid waste on offensive lines wherever they played. Let's see if we can get a miracle this year shall we? Heck, the Orange Crush was so infamous it is mentioned in Wikipedia!
