McDaniels please get Brandstater out there next week - Please just do it!

Please don't misunderstand me here. I am a Denver Broncos fan and have been for 32 or 33 years. The Broncos are my team, and this blog for the Broncos indicates my interest. So, that being said here goes my rant.



Today the Broncos got just plain lucky to win that game. It almost seemed as though God reached down to save the day for them. The pass Orten tossed out there was right in traffic, and didn't have much of a chance, and then it gets deflected and the rest is history.

When Orten gave up the yardage for the sack earlier he gave up their chance to clinch the game with 3 additional field goal points. Then the touchdown the Bengals got would not have mattered. It was Orten who set the team up for failure, and you saw McDaniels yelling at him about it on the sidelines moments later.

My contention is that if Tom Brandstater had been running the offense the lead would have been much better. Denver's defense performed very well against the Bengals all day until that last few minutes of the game, so if the real Quarterback was in the game, you have the win earlier and .......

You wouldn't have had to rely on a Miracle from God!

After Brandstater's performance in the last preseason game, I thought he might have been the starter. Why not McDaniels? What is it about this guy? He just has to have that command doesn't he? Too much pride and not enough thinking is going on here.

The fact is that McDaniels gave up his franchise QB way back in the spring when he tried to orchestrate that 3 way trade and let the details out of the bag so Cutler would find out. I think the little general did it that way on purpose because he already didn't want him on the team after Cutler's reactions to the firing of Shanahan.

We need a new title for the head coach in Denver. We should call him the little general or Napeoleon II. Pretty soon he will show up at the games with his sword don't ya think?

Right there in his lap is his new franchise QB. It is Tom Brandstater. He has the talent, and he is officially number 3 on the list. Whatcha bet Joshy is right now planning on how to get rid of him too! This guy is quite a ride isn't he? How lucky can he be in game one!

I am not the only fan blogger who feels this way, and we need to keep the digital pressure on this guy to do what is best for Denver and not what is best for him personally. Will it really hurt his pride to get the talent out there?

I believe Tom Brandstater is the franchise Quarterback. Write in and use the Twitter and let's tell the general what we think ok?
