Broncos sign free agent linebacker Nick Greisen
The Denver Broncos on Wednesday signed free-agent linebacker Nick Greisen, it was announced. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not announced. To make room on its roster, the club waived fullback Andrew Pinnock. Greisen is an eighth-year player who joins the Broncos after stints with Baltimore, Jacksonville and the New York Giants. He entered the NFL with the Giants as a fifth-round selection (152nd overall) in the 2002 NFL Draft from the University of Wisconsin. The linebacker has appeared in 98 games and five postseason contests in his career. He has compiled 305 tackles, including four sacks, one interception, 12 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries while contributing seven tackles and four special-teams stops in the playoffs.
